OK, if you have never heard of The Ramones, you are SERIOUSLY missing out. As far as I'm concerned, these guys defined the early "punk" movement, which in turn inspired the "new wave" music that I grew up with. Yes, this is a little before even MY time, but I am definitely a fan! So much so, that when Knucklehead was in Kindergarten he once broke out in a loud rendition of 'Beat on the Brat' while pretending to play his teacher's guitar! HA HA HA Now, as embarrassing as that could be for most moms, keep in mind here that I also WORKED at his school at the time. Luckily, my colleague, "Mr. Mike" was also a fan of The Ramones, so instead of being worried about the fact that one of his students was singing "beat on the brat with a baseball bat, oh yeah" he actually thought it was hilarious. (phew!)
Anyway, this week's song is NOT 'Beat On The Brat' but the ever popular 'I Wanna Be Sedated'.
Because, lately, I kinda DO want to be sedated. *sigh*
