I've never worn a short dress to the ball before, but my budget is extremely limited and these were all I could find. The last dress (#6, long one) does not actually fit me, but it was 'free' (borrowed) so it deserves some consideration, at least.

#5 is so gorgeous and flatters your skin.
I think 1 and 2 are the most flattering but all of them are pretty!

5 for sure. Even though it's short I think it looks fancier than the others plus that color looks amazing on your skin and it's a just all around killer dress.

I vote for the last one because I've always been taught that BALL gowns are floor length....
I forgot to mention that these dresses are all SIZE 18! WOO HOOO! Just seven weeks ago I was a size 24. I need to go back and edit this post to add the picture of the dress that I REALLY wanted (but can't justify the price tag)

I'm leaning towards #6 ONLY because balls are formal and dresses need to be long. Which, it seems that you know that. :-D
My second pic is #5. I think it gives you more shape than #3 and it looks more supportive than #4. The first two options are not formal dresses IMO.
I like #2 and #5. They are both very flattering :) If I had to choose I guess I'd say #5 because it is a bit fancier - love the design! Have fun!

number 5 seems most on par with the caliber of the ball but number two looks great, too. i also think number 5 is best because the color is flattering to your figure.
